About Ellen

As a lifelong resident of the Twin Cities I have been fortunate to have a diverse background that helps educate my clients to this fabulous area. I grew up at Lake Harriet, lived in Kenwood, and have resided on Lake Minnetonka since 1979. As such, the focus of my business is the Lake Minnetonka area, the Western suburbs, Edina, and the areas surrounding the three city lakes, Lake of the Isles, Lake Calhoun, and Lake Harriet.

After graduating from the University of Minnesota High School, I attended the University of Minnesota receiving my undergraduate degree in Political Science with post graduate work in law, and real estate. After 7 years as a retail executive with the Dayton Hudson Corporation (Target Corp.), I joined Burnet Realty, the Twin Cities’ most successful firm.

I am the proud parent of two grown children. My daughter, Betsy, works in Manhattan and attends graduate school at Columbia. My son, Nick, is married to my lovely daughter-in-law, Jenny, living in Chicago. Nick is in charge of acquisitions for Jameson Real Estate. Jenny is trained as a market representative in the fashion industry and is a full time mother to their two young children, daughter, Taylor and son, Bennett.

Considering real estate as a long term investment is something in which I truly believe. In addition to my primary residence on Lake Minnetonka, I have homes in Longboat Key Florida and Vail, Colorado. I have the experience and capacity to link and provide the best real estate resources in these locations and others throughout the United States.

The internet and media tools remain a valuable resource for clients. It is my pleasure and job as your real estate professional, to bring context, knowledge, and negotiating skills to one of the most important decisions a person will make in their lie.

It is also important to streamline the real estate process to reduce stress in what is often an emotional experience. I try to bring energy, fun, and a complete education and understanding to the real estate process for every client to achieve the absolute best result on their behalf.
